First workshop on a unique concept of MILE
The Madinah Institute for Leadership and Entrepreneurship (MILE) is a leading Corporate Social Responsibility Program dedicated to enhancing leadership capacity and entrepreneurial excellence in the Middle East, North Africa, and Asia. Strategically located in the Madinah Knowledge Economic City of Saudi Arabia; MILE is a non-profit organization sponsored by the Savola Group that has grown into a collaborative initiative attracting participation from global business schools, academic professors, management consulting organizations, and professional associations.
To answer the call to close the evident leadership deficit in the region; in the fall of 2008 a brainstorming retreat was held in Dubai UAE to conceive the vision for the young institute. The session was was attended by academic and business leaders from McKinsey & Co., Kenexa, Islamic Development Bank, Savola Group and Leading Concepts to help shape the strategy and align MILE’s operating model according to global best practices in executive education.
As a result, MILE has executed its strategy of building regional intellectual capital reserves by introducing a unique business model that ensures sustainability and relevant talent development opportunities for current and emerging business leaders. This value proposition has been enhanced by leveraging the combination of Madinah’s prestigious location with the affinity of the more than 1 billion Muslims around the world
